Frances Townsend is a powerful woman in the business world. She has served as Executive Vice President for Corporate Affairs, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer at Activision Blizzard since March 2013. She was also a Senior Adviser to President George W. Bush from 2001-2003 and Assistant to the President for Homeland Security & Counterterrorism from 2003-2008 when she helped lead America’s response to 9/11 and its aftermath. With such an impressive resume, it should come as no surprise that Frances was recently inducted into the American Academy of Arts & Sciences in recognition of her “extraordinary contributions to society.”
Frances has also been named a Director at Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, one of the world’s leading diversified insurers. She was previously a director there from 2006-2008 and is currently serving her second term on their board. In addition to being an active philanthropist, she serves as Vice President for Corporate Relations & Board Affairs with Carnegie Hall in New York City, where she co-chairs Carnegie Hall’s Leadership Council and chairs its Business Committee. Frances holds both Bachelors’s and Masters degrees from Georgetown University in Washington D.C.
